How our editors choose a title—and how we prove it

“Curated” is a verb. Here is the checklist, including the nos

The because-sentence

Every public video page includes a selection note that names the original work, the angle of the Amharic title, and a reader who might benefit. It is not a category slogan. “We like quality recaps” is not a reason. “This Amharic title frames a wealth-gap campus as a hunt, and the source drama actually follows the scholarship student’s job, so we can teach class without only showing slaps” is a reason.

If two videos share a description, only one stays public. If a category would be empty after that filter, we hide the category instead of publishing a zero. If a description is shorter than a real paragraph, it never leaves admin.

The nos

No test titles. No placeholder Latin. No identical episode farms. No watch URL that duplicates the essay URL—those now redirect. No view-count trophies for eight people. No ads before you have been offered writing.

ምርጫ ማለት ማጣራት ማለት ነው። ምክንያት መጻፍ ካልቻልን ገጹ አይወጣም።

You can audit us

Authors have biographies. Articles have dates. Video essays have strengths and weaknesses. If a page is thin, it is a mistake, not a strategy. Reply to contact and cite the URL. We rewrite in public by updating the timestamp.
