Amharic headlines that hunt clicks—and how we still use them honestly

Shock titles are part of recap culture. Trust is a separate technology.

The two-layer title

Layer one is the Amharic recap title: often a wound, a school, a revenge. Layer two is the original work’s name in our essay: Avatar, The Glory, Weak Hero. Readers deserve both. A page that only has layer one is a trap. A page that only has layer two can feel cold in this culture.

We keep layer one because it is how the audience searches. We add layer two because it is how criticism breathes. If they contradict—if the headline promises a killing the work does not show—we say so in weaknesses.

Emojis are not analysis

Triangles and fire icons in a title are decoration. They do not get you a pass on duplicate descriptions. We strip nothing from uploaders’ titles, but we do not let decoration replace a because-sentence.

ርዕሱ ሊደነግጥ ይችላል። ጽሑፉ ግን መዋሸት የለበትም።

Trust is slow on purpose

We will not ask anyone to “request a review” of this site until the articles, authors, and essays have been live long enough for strangers to read them. A magazine with eight recorded plays and no bylines looks like a test domain. We would rather be unread for a while than dishonestly busy.
