How Cinema Plus uses YouTube: embeds, thumbnails, takedowns
A plain-language policy you can hold us to
What you will see on a title page
First, an original essay with a named author, a published date, and an updated date. Then plot context taken from our catalog notes. Then an official YouTube embed of a video our editors chose as a recap or discussion of a named work. Then a link that opens the same video on YouTube.
We do not ship MP4s. We do not disguise a full film as a “part 12 lecture.” We do not scrape channels into infinity. Empty categories are hidden. Duplicate synopses are hidden. Weak slogan descriptions never go public.
Thumbnails
Default thumbnails are YouTube’s own images for that video ID. Custom thumbnails are only used when an editor uploads a file we have rights to. If a custom image is wrong, tell us; we will revert to YouTube’s.
Takedown path
Email the contact address with the page URL, the YouTube URL, and a statement of rights. We will remove the public listing and the sitemap entry. We will not argue taste with a rights holder. We will argue process: we need a URL.
ፋይል አናስቀምጥም። ኦፊሴላዊ የዩቲዩብ እንክብካቤ ብቻ። መብት ካለህ አድራሻችንን ጻፍ።
